Caitlyn Jenner teases she will play Melania Trump on US sketch show SNL as Eamonn Holmes praises her youthful looks following transition from Bruce
CAITLYN Jenner has hinted she will impersonate First Lady Melania Trump on an upcoming episode of popular US sketch show Saturday Night Live.
The transgender icon made the suggestion to This Morning hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford during her appearance on Friday morning.
As the presenters prepared to have a chat with a Donald Trump impersonator, Caitlyn joked: "How do you like this one?
"I play on Saturday night live our first lady Ivanka Trump. What do you think? I play Melania, I do the whole thing."
Eamonn appeared to think Caitlyn impersonating Melania could be a great idea and proposed the plan to the lookalike.
He quipped: “Caitlyn Jenner as the First Lady, what do you think about that?”
Some fans immediately noticed the fact she incorrectly named Trump’s ex-wife Ivanka as the first Lady before correcting herself.
One viewer wrote: “Love that Caitlyn Jenner thinks Ivanka is the first lady. Glad I wasn't the only one who got confused over that at some point.”
Another added: “Btw Caitlyn the First Lady is Melania and not Ivanka I know that and America isn't even my country lol."
Eamonn and Caitlyn also shared a playful moment during the interview to promote Caitlyn's new book, The Secrets Of My Life.
As Caitlyn looked back on her life as Bruce Jenner before making her transition to a woman, Eamonn commented: "You know, you're a younger woman than Bruce was a man."
Caitlyn then went to share a high-five with the presenter as she answered: "I appreciate that and I have to agree with you on that one. Thanks. I am just more comfortable this way."
