Amy Childs ‘thought she was going to die’ during ‘terrifying’ labour as she reveals she has named newborn baby girl Polly
NEW mum Amy Childs thought she was "going to die" during her "terrifying" labour - as she reveals she has named her baby girl Polly.
The former Towie star welcomed her first child last month with boyfriend Bradley Wright.
In a new interview with OK! Magazine, Amy revealed they had named their little girl Polly, and how traumatic her labour was.
Speaking of her decision to have an epidural, she said: "The pain was getting worse.
"I was told that some people don't dilate and you can have a four-day labour.
"At 9pm, 18 hours into my labour, I finally agreed to it. I really wanted to go pain-free, but after 18 hours the nurse suggested I should have an epidural."
Amy had been in a birthing pool until this point, but to have the epidural she had to get out and go into another room to see the anaesthetic team.

She continued: "Labour was terrifying. I thought I was going to die; I'm not going to lie to you, it was horrific.
"I just had no idea it would be so painful."
However Polly has been a perfect baby since her stressful arrival, and during their chat with the publication, the couple discussed how they chose her name.
Amy said: "Her full name is Polly Childs-Wright. We liked the traditional names.
"Before the birth we liked India..."
However Bradley added: "But she's not an India."
Amy continued: "Another name was Elsie, but she definitely isn't an Elsie.
"Brad suggested Polly first. It's a bit unusual."
