FANS are on the edge of their seat for any news of the return of the legendary kids show SMTV Live.
The show was a huge hit in the late 90s and now Ant and Dec have teased a reunion with Cat Deeley.
What was SMTV Live?
SMTV Live was first broadcast on August 29, 1998 and ran until December 27, 2003.
It was a huge hit with children, teenagers and young adults.
It was presented by Ant and Dec, along with Cat Deeley.
It involved games and comedy sketches like The Further Adventures of Cat the Dog, Chums, Pokerap, Wonkey Donkey, Challenge Ant and many more.
When will SMTV Live be returning?
On January 30, 2020, Ant and Dec teased an SMTV Live revival "later this year" to celebrate 30 years on screen together.
Speculation has mounted since 2017 that a reunion could be on the cards, and speaking to the at the National Television Awards on Tuesday, the presenters hinted SMTV Live could return this year.
Dec said: "Watch this space! We might do something a little bit later in the year but we’ll let you know when we’ve got more firm plans.”
It's not yet known if Cat will be joining them.
The reunion had been on the cards back in 2018, but was passed after Ant was found guilty of drink driving and went to rehab.
What is Ant and Dec's history?
You'd find it hard to fine someone who didn't know who Ant and Dec are, but here's a bit about their history.
The famous pair first met as actors on the children's television show Byker Grove, during which and in their subsequent pop career they were respectively known as PJ & Duncan – the names of the characters they played on the show.
Since then, they have had a very successful career as television presenters, presenting shows such as Pop Idol, Saturday Night Takeaway, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, and Britain's Got Talent.
