Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid breaks down in tears after conversation with mum desperate to find her daughter after Manchester terror attack

GOOD Morning Britain's Susanna Reid broke down in tears after her conversation with a panic-stricken mum struggling to contact her daughter following last night's horrific Manchester terror attacks.

The mum of three began sobbing on today's programme after her second call with Charlotte Campbell - whose teenager Olivia is missing since attending Ariana Grande's show at the Manchester Arena.

Susanna Reid broke down in tears as she talked to panic stricken mum Charlotte Campbell about her missing daughter Olivia

Her raw outburst forced the camera to pan away from the presenters to a still of the missing 15-year-old, as she apologised: "I cannot imagine the agony parents are going through, I'm sorry."

Wiping tears from her eyes, Susanna said: "It doesn't help anyone if I get upset."

Co-host Kate Garraway supportively added: "It's understandable to get upset Susanna, we are all feeling the same way."

Meanwhile presenter Piers Morgan added the mum's turmoil was "heartbreaking."

The aftermath of the pop show saw at least 22 killed in what has now been confirmed as a suicide bombing.

She told the show it 'didn't help' if she got upset

Susanna had chatted to Charlotte earlier in the show, yet in an update, she revealed she had no further news.

But she had learned Olivia was not admitted into any hospitals in the area.

Her co-host Piers Morgan was praised for his bold views

Earlier in the show, Charlotte revealed she phoned her daughter, who went to the concert with her best friend at 8.30pm yesterday, but has not heard from her since.

Charlotte said: “All I know is she was at the Manchester Arena with her friend watching Ariana Grande and she’s not turned up yet.

“I can’t get through to her. I’ve called the hospitals, I’ve called all the places, the hotels where people say that children have been taken."

Piers and Susanna hosted an extended episode of GMB today

She added: “I’ve called the police. There’s no news, I’ve just got to wait. I’m waiting at home just in case she turns up here."

She added: “She was there with her best friend from school. He’s been found, he’s in hospital.

“I don’t know what condition he is in yet. I’ve not spoke to his parent. If anybody sees Olivia, lend her your phone, she knows my number.”
