Prince Harry’s old flame Camilla Thurlow to be marooned on Love Island with his other ex Caroline Flack
PRINCE Harry’s former flame Camilla Thurlow says she is anxious about coming face-to-face with his ex Caroline Flack after joining Love Island.
Camilla is amongst the stunning singletons on the ITV2 reality show fronted by Caroline, who previously revealed she had been Harry’s “bit of rough”.
Chatting ahead of Monday’s series launch, the blonde opened up about her romance with the royal ladies’ man – and said she hopes meeting another of his former lovers isn’t “weird”.
Camilla, 27, who has worked in landmine removal for a charity backed by Princess Diana, said: “It’s a small world. I hope it’s not weird. I’m excited to meet Caroline, she’s a great role model.
“I don’t know if she would want to talk about it though. I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.”
The outrageous reality show became notorious last year for airing graphic on-screen sex – which even saw Zara Holland stripped of her crown as Miss Great Britain for her part in the antics.
But Camilla hasn’t ruled out a steamy encounter on the show – and would even consider a romance with another girl if the situation arose.
If there is a handsome red-head on Love Island I’d definitely be up for it
The beauty queen, who herself won the Miss Earth Edinburgh crown, adds: “I was among a majority who felt sorry for Zara and empathised and I know what it’s like as a young woman to be judged for something you’ve done that you didn’t want to be seen by other people.
“I do have a bit of a wild side. I think it’s more like I was having these short stints at home.
“I’d come back for a couple of weeks so you cram six months’ worth of catching up into one night so you’ve got six girls having cocktails going out dancing afterwards.
“I haven’t had an affair with a girl, so I would say I’m looking for a guy – but I’m quite an open-minded person.
“I wouldn’t say I’d rule it out, but it would be incredibly unexpected. A real twist. If there is a handsome red-head I’d definitely be up for it.”
Camilla’s romance with Harry, 32, emerged in 2014 when the pair were spotted kissing in London nightclub Tonteria.
And she admits she will answer questions about the romance on-screen if asked by fellow contestants – even hinting that it was she who wasn’t ready for anything serious with the royal.
She says: “I was in a place where I knew exactly what I wanted to do workwise.
"It sounds awful, I was going through a selfish moment and I knew what I wanted to achieve so everything was about that.
“I didn’t want to give that up.
"But that means I haven’t developed the relationship that everyone else has.”
