M. NIGHT Shyamalan thrilled audiences with his horror film, Split, earlier this year.
And fans are going to get a chance to get a deeper insight into the making of the film as it becomes available on DVD.
Split stars James McAvoy as a man with 23 different personalities who abducts three young girls and locks them up in a cellar.
Trying to escape before a frightful 24th personality comes to the forefront, the girls will face the challenge of their life if they’re to escape unscathed.
In an exclusive clip, M. Night Shaymalan reveals a scene from the film which had played a big part in the flick until the final edit.
The director explains: "This is a scene where all the three girls are trying to figure out what’s going on here.
"They are all putting out their theories and trying to figure out what’s happening because it’s confusing to them."
He continues: "Is this a crazy person? Does he want something sexual from them? I really enjoy the way they throw out their opinion about how bad their situation is.
"I like the way they all throw their opinion out about how bad the situation is."
He then adds: "The reason this is not in the film - and this was in the film for a long time - was this pressure at the beginning of the movie for the girls to figure out a way out and to get to the moment where Patricia opens the door.
"The movie takes off like a rocket, it's almost like a gunshot moment. For Split it was that moment so the faster we got to that, the better."
After receiving a host of positive reviews, Shyamalan delighted fans when he revealed he's been working on a sequel to Split called Glass, which will again be linked to 2000's Unbreakable.
Split is available on digital now and is available on Blu-ray and DVD on June 5.
