Warren has already sought revenge for his sister’s untimely death, killing Bart McQueen after Joel lied to him and said he had been the one responsible.

But speaking exclusively to The Sun Online at The British Soap Awards, Jamie believes the truth will come out, leading to a huge showdown between father and son.

He said: “I think Warren is definitely going to find out eventually and God help him [Joel] when he finds out.

“He killed Bart, and he’s the reason he killed Bart.”

Asked whether Warren would really kill his own flesh and blood, Jamie added: “We’ll have to wait and see but me personally, if I was writing it? Yes… but I’m not.”

Jamie returned to the show in May last year after originally leaving Hollyoaks in 2011, and he revealed how thrilled he is with the storylines he’s had since coming back.

He said: “He is just one of those characters the writers love to write for, he’s a bad man with a heart and for me personally it’s amazing.”

Viewers have seen more twists and turns for Warren in recent weeks, as his relationship with Sienna Blake saw him propose as part of his latest game plan to win sole custody of their unborn twins.

Speaking about their relationship, he said: “I think that’s why it works, they are just two really warped characters that find something in each other and it’s bizarre because as crazy as these two characters are, the audience really root for them.

“I don’t get it but I think deep down they want to do right, but it’s just who they are and their backgrounds and the way they were brought up. You can’t change it.

“Warren’s come out [of prison] and he’s tried to change but that’s not going to happen.”
