BIG Brother contestants Lotan Carter and Tom Barber have upset fans after revealing they were asked to compete on the show via Facebook.
Taking part on the Channel 5 programme was once an impossible dream involving multiple auditions, psychological tests and weeks in hiding, but it appears that the two show hunks were given a fast track.
At the end of tonight's episode, Welshman Tom turned to hunky Dreamboy Lotan to ask how he had ended up in the house.
He asked: "Did you apply for this?"
Lotan replied: "No."
Tom continued: "I was in Marbella, mate. I got a message on Facebook."
Their short exchange is bound to raise eyebrows, as moments before Tom had been voted IN to the house as the "People's Housemate", beating off competition from three other hopefuls.
As the People's Housemate, he will be given special privileges as the “eyes of the public”, and will be fed information by fellow housemates in order to cause trouble.

We all knew."
People at home were furious with Tom and 28-year-old Lotan's exchange, with some fans branding him and the situation "dodgy".
One fumed: "Oooooh Tom let it out of the bag that he didn't apply, he just got a message on Facebook messenger #BBUK."
Others added: "Tom and Lotan both just said they didn't apply to be on #bbuk, they were approached. Yup that's me done. @bbuk @bbspy" and "Tom and Lotan didn't apply for Big Brother? They got messaged on Facebook? 🙈🙉🙊"
