Love Island’s Marcel brags about being in Blazin’ Squad AGAIN – as the band’s music streams soar by 2500 %

LOVE Island's Marcel Somerville has failed to keep his famous past a secret since joining the ITVBe show last week.

And Sunday's episode saw the rapper bragging about being a member of Blazin' Squad once again, much to the amusement of viewers.

The past seven days have seen Marcel - also known as Rocky B/Plat'num - slowly reveal the news to other contenders in the villa and it appears he's been taking viewers on a trip down memory lane as they flock to Spotify to listen to the band's biggest hits.

On Sunday night's show, Marcel left Dom shocked when he said: "No obviously I used to be in the Blazin' Squad when I was a kid. Dom, how could you not know bruv?"

Taking to the Beach Hut, Dom gushed: "Marcel was part of the Blazin’ Squad! I didn’t know! I just thought he was an absolute boss anyway, but now he’s just a bigger boss!"

Before entering the house, Marcel admitted he still has fond memories of his time in the group as he admitted: “They were the best days of my life – people do still recognise me when I’m out.

“People the majority of the time want a selfie. I think I look really different these days, though. I feel like I’ve got much better looking!”
