Love Island pulls record audience to watch Jessica Shears’ raunchy sex scenes – but constant swearing and smoking from islanders’ prompts complaints
RECORD numbers of viewers flocked to watch last night's Love Island after The Sun's Bizarre column revealed there would be two romps on the episode.
But two furious fans found issue with the show, not for the sex, but for contestants’ chain smoking and constant swearing.
A huge 1.5million tuned in to ITV2 to watch the islanders get hot and heavy – up 71% on last year's series.
Glamour model Jessica Shears, 24, romped with Dominic Lever, 26, in the villa’s private hideout room.
Rival couple Kem Cetinay, 21, and Amber Davies, 20, also let off some steam under the sheets.
Seven complaints were made to watchdog Ofcom after Emma-Jane Woodhams and Terry Walsh had sex under the covers in last year's series.
But this time around it was the nonstop cursing which irked viewers.
Natasha Louise said: “Stop swearing at people.”
Twitter user Weler blasted: “Why is every word that comes out of Chris's mouth the f word? Stop swearing at people you d***.”
And an embarrassed Imogene said: “I didn't realise how much swearing is in Love Island until I watched it with my mother."
Others like Scott Simmons found the never-ending puffing of fags too much.

Jessica's latest sexual antics follow a sex tape starring her leaking online this week.
The Sun's Bizarre column later revealed it was made with Bianca Gascoigne’s ex-boyfriend Rogan O’Connor.

The pair enjoyed an intimate relationship earlier this year before Jessica entered the hit telly dating series.

Jessica previously told The Sun: “Calum and I hung out in the same circles.”
