Towie stars forced to go head to head for their place in upcoming Marbella summer special
Cast members of the ITVBe show are making sure they are as controversial as possible so they secure a seat on the plane to Spain
TOWIE stars are being forced to pitch for their place in the Marbella special.
Producers are returning the show to the Spanish tourist hotspot for another summer with filming beginning in August.
Cast members are scrambling to be as controversial as possible to get an invite, with talks with bosses beginning in July.
But they’ve already been talking amongst themselves, according to a source.
They added Towie bosses are looking to get maximum value from the names they take out.
The source said: “Taking the crew and cast out to Marbella doesn’t come cheap.
“Everyone knows it’s a playground for the rich and famous and with the show in its seventh year it wants to make sure it stays as entertaining as possible.
“It’s a free holiday to an amazing place so why wouldn’t they want to go?
“And some need the show to maintain their careers.”
Two people who are already confirmed for the special are couple Jade Lewis and Jamie Reed.
He told The Sun’s Bizarre column he’s looking forward to starting filming in August and will be involved in some juicy storylines.
Jamie, 34, said: “Marbs is coming – we start filming in August.
“Me and Jade are going and we start all the talks in July and we go from there.
“And it’s about what drama you bring, what’s going on in your life and I’m sure I’ve got enough to bring to the table.”
The pair are enjoying the Mediterranean sun having recently got back from a romantic trip to Majorca and Jade currently on a cruise in Mykonos.
Jamie revealed he is back to Spain in Madrid with Jade for a wedding in July.
