Imran had been up against Charlotte Keys, Kayleigh Morris, Rebecca Jane, Raphael Korine, and wife Sukhvinder for evition - but he proved not popular enough for the public to save.

As the result was called, his wife began shaking her head before she bolted out the door with him in a shock move.

“No. No. I have to go!” Sukhvinder declared as the result was read out and Imran leapt to his feet to say goodbye to his fellow housemates.

Sukhvinder repeated “No! No! No!” as the housemates tried to convince her to stay.

"Sukhvinder has done a runner!" a shocked Emma Willis declared as both came down the stairs together.

Explaining themselves, Imran said: "We were always going to leave together. People have been trying to split us up for years. Even Big Brother can't split us up!"

Asked if he was alright about being voted out second, he simply said: "I'm happy to go with what the public wanted."

Imran also suggested the producers of the show never made it clear that they were going into the competition as solo contestants, arguing she thought they would be seen as a single unit.

“We always thought we were coming in together – it was at the last moment we found out that we weren't,” she told Emma Willis.
