Ariana Grande posts emotional message thanking fans for ‘wiping her tears away’ as European leg of her tour draws to a close

ARIANA Grande has sent an emotional, "proper" thank you to her fans for supporting her with "brightest, most passionate, contagious energy" following the Manchester terror attack.

Two weeks on from her One Love Manchester gig, the pop star posted a long thank you on Instagram to mark the close of her European tour, and thanked fans for "wiping her tears away".

The post from the 23-year-old — who will soon receive the first ever honorary citizenship of Manchester — comes a day on from her final gig in Europe, held in Turin, Italy on July 17.

The singer wrote on Instagram: "At the close of this European leg of my Dangerous Woman tour, I just wanted to thank you properly for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown me, my crew, and each other during this challenging time.

"Spending this time with you this month has been so very healing and special!

"Thank you for bringing your absolute brightest, most passionate, contagious energy to these shows and for wiping my tears away. ♡

"I'm immensely grateful!!!! I hope you can feel my love, wherever you are because I'm sending you all that I've got.
"See you so soon. ♡"

Since the horrendous events of May 22, which saw 22 people killed when an explosive went off at her gig, Ariana has comforted hospitalised fans, and gathered A-list friends for a huge gig to raise funds for those affected.

Her concert, which featured Chris Martin, Liam Gallagher and Little Mix among other acts, was hailed by attendees and commentators alike for bringing the country together.

This week, Britney Spears sent happy birthday wishes on Twitter to a boy whose sister died in the attack.
