Christine Lampard and the Loose Women hosts wear striking hats to celebrate Ladies Day at Ascot

THE Loose Women ladies took inspiration from Ladies Day at Ascot on Thursday's episode.

Christine Lampard, Jane Moore, Stacey Solomon and Gloria Hunniford were all dressed to the nines as they showed off their best race hats on the show.

Christine teamed her summer yellow dress with an intricate blue head piece while Stacey opted a for a classic black slanted hat.

Jane's hat was the smallest one on the day as she admitted she hated wearing hats.

Gloria Hunniford revealed her hat had first been worn 30 years before when she had been working as a reporter covering the event.

Loose Women has been cut short this week to make way for Royal Ascot coverage.

The outspoken panellists will on be on the box, but for just 30 minutes – they will be on air each day this week from 12.30pm to 1pm.

The daily panel show will return as normal on Monday 26 June 2017 at 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

ITV racing is showing all the main British horse racing events this year.

Royal Ascot has already kicked off and runs until Saturday June 24, 2017.

Today’s coverage begins at 1.30pm and will conclude at 6pm.
