Towie’s Mario Falcone slams engagement to ex Lucy Mecklenburgh as he reveals he wants three kids with new fiance Becky
Reality star insists he's finally found someone better for him after hugely romantic proposal in Greece
MARIO Falcone has declared his previous engagement to Towie’s Lucy Mecklenburgh “wasn’t real” after popping the question to current girlfriend Becky Miesner.
The Towie hunk is set to head down the aisle with Becky and now insists that unlike Lucy, she’s “the One” for him, adding he’d like to have three children with her – possibly four.
The 29-year-old famously had a far from amicable split from Towie ex Lucy in 2012, following two years together on the ITV reality show, on which Lucy originally dated Mark Wright.
But after proposing to 28-year-old Becky at a romantic location in Santorini in Greece, he says his girlfriend of one year means so much more to him than Lucy ever did.
He blasted: “This engagement is real – the other one wasn’t real.
“It was on national TV and planned. This one is the One.
“I love this girl and I want to spend the rest of my life with her,” he added of the brunette beauty, who he moved in with in October 2016.
And the former telly lothario has even declared he wants three children with Becky, revealing his family love her too.
He said: “She’s the first girlfriend they’ve really warmed to, so they’re like: ‘Get married, have babies!’
“We’ve agreed on three! I wanted four and Becky wanted two, so we’ll meet in the middle. My mum is a twin.
“She had a psychic reading and they told her we were going to have twins. So we might plan three and end up with four!”
Mario’s wife-to-be and likely future baby mama has said she is not bothered by his history with Lucy, saying: “The past is the past.”
Asked what the difference is between Becky and Lucy, Mario previously said: “[Becky is] my best friend, simple as that. I feel like I can tell her anything. It’s just such a good relationship, which I’ve never had before.
“Not going on TOWIE full time also means you haven’t got other people playing in your relationship.”
He added: “I’ve never been with someone who I look forward to seeing all the time. I couldn’t imagine myself without her now.”
Since splitting from Mario, 25-year-old Lucy was in a high-profile romance with athlete Louis Smith for 14 months.
