Kate Moss pictured topless in never-before-seen pictures from 1993 for Calvin Klein’s new Obsessed fragrance campaign
The shoot has been unearthed to advertise the new perfume
Never-before-seen pictures of a young Kate Moss posing topless in the ‘90s have been unveiled to mark the release of a new Calvin Klein fragrance.
Taken in 1993, the stunning series of images were originally produced for Calvin Klein’s famous Obsession campaign starring a fresh faced, 18-year-old Kate, but ended up on the cutting room floor.
Now the outtakes, which feature a topless Kate curled up in bed wearing nothing but black knickers, have been made public in all their glory for the first time.
Other previously unseen snaps from the intimate photoshoot show Kate standing topless against a wall, protecting her modesty by wrapping her arms around her chest.
The future supermodel is also seen lounging on a sofa and later delivering a piercing stare to the camera while shielding her eyes with an arm.
All of the images were taken by famed photographer Mario Sorrenti, then 20, who was Kate’s boyfriend at the time.
They were displayed in public for the first time at the Calvin Klein Obsession launch party in London this week, attended by Kate, now 43, and celebs including Brooklyn Beckham and Winnie Harlow.

Huge, blown up versions of the vintage black and white photographs dominated the glamorous, star studded party.
Kate and Mario flew to the Virgin Islands back in 1993 to shoot what would become an iconic partnership, shacking up in a private beach house with nothing and nobody around them.
It resulted in one of the most famous fragrance campaigns of all time and the memorable image of Kate lying completely naked on a black sofa, staring at the camera.
Kate gave a rare interview about the original Obsession campaign in 2015, telling Nick Knight’s ShowStudio that deceptively simple shot took more than a week to create.
“I laid like that for like 10 days, he would not stop taking pictures of that,” she said.
Kate also revealed that it was Calvin Klein himself who chose Mario as the photographer.
“Calvin saw Mario's book and it was pictures of me on holiday and stuff and so he was just like, 'Great I can see it, it's obsession.' He saw it - and it was obsession. He was obsessed, I'd wake up in the morning and he'd be taking pictures of me and I'd be like f*** off."
Mario himself said: "I was so passionate about photography, and Kate and I were in love. I love photographing her. She was the closest person to me.
“I would take pictures of her all of the time, and sometimes it drove her crazy, and other times, she loved to be part of it.
“We had really good times. We were young, and I was never again so obsessed or so in love with photographing one person.”
Calvin Klein’s chief creative officer Raf Simons told Fashionista he decided to revisit the vintage imagery of Kate while brainstorming ideas for the Obsessed launch, and called Kate and Mario’s 1993 collaboration a “true love story”.
"It is a story of an iconic and inspiring moment in fashion photography as much as a deeply personal and human love story, the two are intertwined and can never really be replicated again,” he said.
Calvin Klein's Obsessed is released on July 1.
