Who is Alex Beattie? Love Island 2017 hunk who has split from Montana Brown after they left the villa together
ALEX Beattie and Montana Brown were looking like potential Love Island champions before the public booted them out of the villa.
And it seems the hunk has now been booted out of Montana's life despite their many telly romps. So what do we know about him?
Who is Alex Beattie? What is his background?
Alex Beattie is a 22-year-old personal trainer from Newcastle.
When asked how to describe himself he said: "I think I’m an all rounder – I socialise with lots of different groups of people so I’ve got loads of varied chat. "
But he said he's "picky" when it comes to girls: "I don’t date loads of girls. I am quite picky about who I would go on a date with.
"I wouldn’t date someone I wasn’t interested in. I have to know them a little bit before I go on a date with them.
"I wouldn’t say I’ve ever had a bad date because I’ve already narrowed it down to someone I like.
"I don’t struggle speaking to people but I know what I want so I’d know if I liked them before I went on the date."
Did Alex find love on Love Island?
Alex set his sights on Montana Brown prior to joining the show, saying: "She has massively grown on me through the series.
"I’m attracted to Tyla but I already know Montana’s personality so am definitely attracted to her."
And he wasted no time in getting what he wanted as the pair grew close straight away.
Things turned intimate between them after they had a date and spent the night together in the Hideaway.
Montana, 21-year-old later told her fellow Islanders that they didn’t have sex but did “everything but” and then told the girls that she was shocked at the size of his package.
However the couple sealed the deal the following evening while everyone else was asleep.
But following the end of Love Island, The Sun revealed the pair had secretly ended their romance and Montana even left the show wrap party with fellow islander Simon Searle.
On August 8, Montana and Alex went online to admit they had indeed split, with Alex writing: "It's been very hard on the outside to make us work how we desired."
