Who is Craig Lawson? Love Island 2017 contestant, Amy Childs’ cousin said to be joining The Only Way Is Essex
TATTOOED hunk Craig Lawson was looking for "romance" on Love Island, but was dumped after his relationship with Camilla Thurlow ground to a halt.
Things may be looking up though as he's rumoured to be joining the cast of The Only Way Is Essex for the next series. Here's the lowdown on him...
Who is Craig Lawson and what is his background?
Craig Lawson is a 27-year-old Personal Trainer from Barking in Essex.
He is original Towie star Amy Childs' cousin and also close friends with another Towie newbie, Jack Ridgden.
Amy left the popular series back in 2011 and gave birth to her first child, daughter Polly, in April.
Craig told us: “Polly is amazing. Amy is such a great mum.
"When she gets back from Ibiza I’m going to start training with her to help her get back into shape, although she’s already looking great.”
What happened to Craig on Love Island?
When asked how to describe himself prior to entering the Love Island 2017 villa he said: "I’ll be honest, all of the other guys (in the villa) are all talk.
"When it comes to confrontation, they just back down.
"No disrespect, they are nice guys, but I am not a yes man. I’m very much a man’s man, I’m very confident, whereas I think the guys in there are quite insecure.
"I’m also quite cheeky, and confident when it comes to talking to the girls. The guys in there show a lot of nerves with the girls."
He also admits to being a bit of a "ladies man", he said: "I’m a bit of a boy – when I’m single I put it about. I have been engaged twice before and I have children.
"In a relationship, I’m a softie – I’m loved up, I’m romantic, I open car doors and pull the chair out.
"I love romantic gestures."
Craig took a shine to Camilla, after she was brutally dumped by Jonny Mitchell and set to work on winning her over.
Unfortunately for Craig, their relationship stalled and he was evicted from the house soon after.
