Amy Childs reveals Love Island newbie Craig Lawson is her COUSIN as she wishes him luck in the villa
AMY Childs has revealed Love Island newcomer Craig Lawson is her cousin after he entered the villa last night.
The proud former TOWIE star, 27, shared her family connection with Craig after he was introduced as one of SIX new male islanders in the latest show twist.
Amy, who gave birth to her first child, Polly, in May, wrote on Instagram: "Good luck to my cousin Craig that has just entered the Love Island villa."
One fan replied to her: "Thought he looked a bit like your brother so now not surprised at all!!!!!!"
It's just the latest link between Love Island and TOWIE, which both air on ITVBe.
Last year's Love Island winners, Nathan Massey and Cara de la Hoyde, both went on to appear in TOWIE, while Love Island series one islander Jon Clark also joined the Essex show.
Jon has a link with the current series of Love Island as well: he claimed islander Chloe Crowhurst was his girlfriend and signed for the programme without telling him.
She denied that and accused Jon of being unfaithful during a war of words before they were seen snogging outside a London club this week suggesting they're back together.
Meanwhile, Amy's cousin Craig is a 27-year-old personal trainer from Barking in Essex who describes himself as "quite cheeky and confident when it comes to talk to the girls."
He also says he's a total romantic who likes being in relationships.
“I’m a bit of a boy – when I’m single I put it about. I have been engaged twice before and I have children," he said.
“In a relationship, I’m a softie – I’m loved up, I’m romantic, I open car doors and pull the chair out.
“I love romantic gestures.”
Already, he's got his eye on fan favourite Camilla Thurlow, who is currently coupled with Jonny Mitchell although their blossoming romance has ended.
Love Island fans have warned Craig that he better treat Camilla well after all the heartbreak she's been through with Jonny.
The charity worker was left heartbroken and in tears when Jonny dumped her this week and then hooked up with Tyla Carr, sharing a steamy kiss with her just moments after ditching Cam.
"Craig, please be good to our Camilla. She's like a fragile little bird. Treat her right," tweeted one viewer.
"Craig, if you're going to crack on with Camilla, treat her right, please? Thanks. xoxox," agreed another.
"Please Craig, treat Camilla like the Queen she is," added a third.
It's been alleged that Craig entered the Love Island villa without saying goodbye to his young children.
Screenshots of comments purported to have been made by his ex fiancee, Sian Dilley, have been circulating Twitter, accusing Craig of not letting her know about his Love Island plans until the night before he flew to Majorca.
The Sun Online approached Craig's reps and Sian for comment.
