Paddy McGuinness’ wife Christine reveals their four-year-old twins have autism
PADDY McGuinness' wife Christine has revealed in an emotional Instagram post that her twins have autism.
The mum-of-three posted a heartfelt poem on the social media site to celebrate Leo and Penelope's fourth birthdays.
In the post, she reveals that both tots are on the autistic spectrum - which affects someone's abilities which affects their social interaction and communication skills.
The poem reads: "Today you both turn four, and I celebrate so much more.
"In the last twelve months you have learnt to talk , and you are using flat week to walk.
"You are conquering your daily challenges, and I'm here to hold your hand, when you're dealing with sensory overload, the quietest room sounds like a big brass band.
"You excel in mathematics and amateur dramatics and you amaze me every day, because you a beautiful inside and out, in an extra special way. "
The mum then continues to discuss the struggles the family face as they adjust to the condition and wrote: "The meltdowns, the routines and all the planning ahead. The groundhog days, the beige food and the temperamental "time for bed"."

She then lovingly ended the poem by adding: "I love you unconditionally, and I will encourage you both to embrace your autism. Because you are totally unique and fantastically awsome (sic).
"All my love always, Mummy."
Christine, who has become known as a fitness guru online, has never been afraid to battle hard-hitting topics with her online platform.
The former Miss Liverpool has also publicly spoken about she suffers from PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) which left her and Take Me Out star Paddy struggling to conceive a child.
Speaking at the time, she said: "It took us three years of trying before we had the twins.
“It was really hard and every month it doesn’t happen you feel like a failure – it’s so disappointing."
However, she later added “We got there eventually but I think we tried a bit too hard because we ended up having twins!”
She has also spoken openly about her struggles with an eating disorder which started at the age of EIGHT.
