Masterchef’s Gregg Wallace buys £1million Kent mansion as he plans to start a family with his wife, Anne-Marie
The area boasts good schools, five acres of land - and Denise Van Outen as a neighbour
MASTERCHEF star Gregg Wallace has landed himself a posh £1million pad in the heart of the English countryside.
The glitzy Kent farmhouse boasts five bedrooms and five acres of land as he sets up a family home with his new wife.
Gregg will also soon be rubbing shoulders with his fellow celebrity neighbours – which are said to include Denise Van Outen and Coldplay drummer Will Champion.
He is said to be moving into the new abode next month.
One resident of the area told : “Everyone is very friendly and the area is beautiful. I’m sure Gregg and his family will be warmly welcomed.”
His fancy new lifestyle is a million miles away from where he was just three years ago, after his business empire crumbled and he lost his grocery company and two of his restaurants.
The businesses were left in debts totalling half a million pounds, but thanks to his star turn on Masterchef with on-screen partner John Torode his luck now seems to be on the up.
The Mirror revealed how he has now managed to turn his life around and is the proud owner of Priory Wood Farmhouse – just a stone’s throw away from Michelin-starred restaurant The West House.

It’s a far cry away from his humble beginnings as a vegetable seller at a market stall in Covent Garden.
He would later found George Allan’s Greengrocers in 1989, and built up the business until it eventually landed a turnover high of £7.5million.
Gregg’s new posh pad has been bought nearly a year after he tied the knot with his fourth wife, Anne-Marie Sterpini.
Anne-Marie, 31, is 21 years younger than 52-year-old Gregg, struck up a conversation with him on Twitter in 2013 to seek cooking advice.
The Masterchef host was compelled to reply after she asked if rhubarb went with duck.
He popped the question shortly after their two-year anniversary.
