Big Brother’s Joe Quaranta, Charlotte Keys and Tom Barber announced as latest housemates up for eviction this week

BIG Brother has announced that Joe Quaranta, Tom Barber and Charlotte Keys are up for the public vote for this week's eviction.

The show made the announcement on their YouTube channel - one of the first times they have ever made the revelation ahead of air time on the main show.

Gathering the housemates on the sofa, the all-seeing voice made the announcement - however viewers will have to wait to tomorrow's highlights show to see who voted for who and why.

The latest round of nominations come after housemates were able to discuss gameplans and nominations in a room called The Void.

The Void was a designated area in the Big Brother house where housemates that won a spot inside could freely discuss nominations.

However, viewers at home were left unimpressed when scenes showed the housemates compete against each other to win time in the box - and as a result see one fundamental rule thrown out of the window.

The move comes as the show was dealt a new blow on Saturday night - when overnight ratings revealed the show slumped to a new low of just 650,000 viewers.

Despite its peak time and no Love Island that evening to compete against, the show still wavered in the ratings war against reigning champion Casualty and even shows such as Melvin Bragg on TV: The Box that Changed the World.

At its lowest point, the Channel 5 reality show stooped to a measly 540,000 viewers, and at its peak only reached 730,000.

The new ratings blow comes after the show attempted to spice up the house by adding in four new housemates.

This included the raunchy Simone Reed, who became a viral hit a few years ago after stripping down to her lingerie in the middle of a job centre in a bid to win a dare, and "Hurricane Sue" - a mum-of-one who was engaged to a secret cross-dresser.

Sam Chaloner - who was also brought into the house - has also become a love interest to unlucky-in-love Ibiza Weekender star Ellie Young, but even this hasn't stopped the ratings from falling.

Housemates were left less than amused on the introduction of the new four housemates when it was revealed that they would be taking £15,000 from their prize fund.

The 'Second Chance Housemates' - who were brought in after several of the housemates walked out or were kicked out for lewd behaviour - had all previously tried to bag a place in the house.

On entering the house, they were told that they didn't stand a chance of winning the £100k that was initially up for grabs to the housemates.

Instead, £15k was deducted from the prize fund, and the second chance housemates were told that whoever lasted the longest out of the house of them won the pot.

  • Big Brother continues weekdays at 10pm on Channel 5.
