LOVE Island viewers were left shocked last night after witnessing randy contestants having sofa sex in the most X-rated episode in the show’s history.

And in another explicit scene, Olivia Attwood, 26, performed a sex act on Chris Hughes, 24, while their fellow islanders Montana Brown, 21, and Alex Beattie, 22, got steamy in the villa’s private room, called The Hideaway, as ratings for the ITV2 show soar to record levels.
Producers had been desperate to trigger more sex on TV after separating couples for 48 hours in a bid to increase their lust for each other.
A TV insider said: “Love Island bosses are delighted with the results - the housemates are now romping all over the place.
“There was a concern over the lack of sexual action on the show this year which sparked the format change.

“Splitting up the couples, leaving the girls in The Villa with a bunch of new blokes while the male islanders lived at nearby Casa Amor for two days with a fresh batch of females, has turned out to be a genius move.
“They’ve resisted temptation and the couples couldn’t keep their hands off each other after being reunited.”

The raunchy reality show sees a host of good looking singletons thrown together in a Majorcan holiday villa for eight weeks, in the hope of sparking romance in full view of more than 72 TV cameras.
Welsh dancer Amber was left devastated after her partner Kem – a hairdresser from Essex – coupled up with Chyna Ellis, 22, as part of the show’s latest twist.
But viewers saw the pair reignite their flame last night as Amber and Kem – who have already bedded each other – had make up sex under a blanket on the living room sofa.

It’s the first time contestants have ever had sex outside of the bedrooms and private Hideaway.
Kem told Amber before their session: “At the end of the day I am actually in love with you, I am, I genuinely am.
“I’ve never felt like this before; what is this feeling? I am in love with you.”

Amber replied: “Right now in my head and my mind we are going to work 100 per cent.”
Meanwhile, Olivia and Chris were also keen to prove that absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Olivia made up for lost time by performing a sexual act on Chris from under the covers in the bedroom shared by the other islanders.
After going on a date, new couple Montana and Alex were granted access to the Hideaway – the room away from the rest of the villa used to offer islanders some private time.

They were the third couple seen getting steamy under the covers on Monday’s show – but resisted the temptation to have sex.
Last year viewers saw Emma-Jane Woodham, 20, bed Terry Walsh, 28, above the covers in the communal bedroom.
The romp came just a week after contestants gathered round to leer as Terry had an under-the-cover s romp with Malin Andersson, 24.
Zara Holland, 21, was also stripped off her Miss Great Britain title for having sex on the dating show.
