Love Island’s Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood are on the rocks as she reveals she is ‘walking on egg shells’ around him
IT looks like Olivia Attwood might be getting cold feet about Love Island partner Chris Hughes on tonight's Love Island.
As the Islanders are sent for a romantic brunch in the garden in their couples, the pair are left alone, and conversation quickly turns to Liv's relationship fears.
The cracks have been beginning to show for the Formula 1 grid girl for a while and it seems their relationship could be short-lived - even after fans finally thought they seemed solid.
She tells him: "I feel in general that you don't like that I'm loud, the way that I speak, the way that I dress, that's how I feel Chris."
Having reassured her in the past that this definitely isn't the case, Chris doesn't see what else he can do if he is making his Love Island sweetheart uncomfortable.
He says: "I'm telling you, if that is the way I make you feel, if you feel like it's me who is dragging you back or holding you back or if you feel like you're acting differently around me then you can't be with me.
"You need to do it for yourself. As much as that hurts. I want you to be happy and if you're telling me that when you're around me, you can't be you, then that is rubbish."
The date is brought to an early end when Olivia decides she's had enough and heads back inside the villa. But that's not the end of their relationship problems for the day.
MORE FROM THE VILLA
In the Beach Hut, Olivia reveals she's been questioning her compatibility with Chris for a while - something she had been hinting at for a while.
She says: "As much as I like him and I'm attracted to him and he's fun, my problem is there's something in his character that is not quite right... It's draining. I am emotionally exhausted.
"I am walking on egg shells every day around him because he is so on the brink of a temper tantrum all the time."
While Chris is also frustrated that something isn't quite right between him and Olivia.
He says: "Emotionally it is draining. I am quite a laid back character when it comes to it.
"I know I’ve got this personality to me, but deep down I am a sensitive guy myself and emotionally things can build up and it is tough to deal with it."
The stress of the situation gets to be too much for Chris and he gets very emotional and cries in the Beach Hut.
Could this really be the end for a couple who seemed so solid only days ago?
