Love Island stars are escorted by chaperones at all times on on rare occasions they are allowed to venture into the outside world
Stars are never left alone - even if they are on a date
LOVE Island contestants are chaperoned at all times during their rare trips outside the villa, it has been revealed.
After the girls were spotted on a secret trip to a beauty salon, ITV confirmed the islanders never get a moment alone - even if they are enjoying a date.
Montana, Amber, Tyla, Gabby and Olivia were all snapped heading for luxury treatments in a Majorcan town earlier this week.
But it turns out that the people surrounding them were closely protecting them and making sure they didn't run off or talk to anyone.
ITV confirmed that any segments of the show filmed outside the luxury villa, which is being sold for £2.5m, are organised like this.
A spokesperson from ITV told The Sun Online: "They are chaperoned while they are out of the villa, as they would be if they were filming a date or like when Chris and Olivia went to the supermarket."
Other events that have been held in the "real world" this series include a game of volleyball and a pole-dancing contest.
More From The Villa
Fans of the show - which we now know include Jeremy Corbyn and Liam Gallagher - will rest assured that Love Island is not letting its contestants flout the premise of the show by getting time in the outside world.
After the dramatic rows between Jonny and Theo over Tyla, tonight's episode is bound to be chock-full with drama - while Dom and Jess are going to have a tearful showdown on Aftersun.
