Love Island’s Dominic Lever denies he’s engaged to Jessica Shears…before being forced to watch her date with Mike Thalassitis on This Morning
LOVE Island's Dominic Lever has denied he's engaged to Jessica Shears.
It comes after she was snapped wearing a diamond ring on her left hand as she left the ITV studios on Sunday.
However, there won't be a Love Island 2017 wedding just yet as Dom says they're still dating.
Speaking on today's This Morning, Dom said: "She actually had that ring on in the villa.
"She wears that ring all the time."
Host Phillip Schofield then joked: "Just tell me it wasn't Mike that gave it to her!"
Dom replied: "Nah, I'd have something to say about that!"
Holly then asked him if they'd ever spoken about marriage and he said: "Obviously I feel like we're great."
"Being in the villa there's only so much you can accomplish and I feel like we did it all - other than being official.
"So now we've come out, obviously now we are official and see where it goes. We speak about everything in the villa.
"We've not spoken about it now we've come out but that is the natural step - not right now - but in time. She's all ready to go.
Dom previously told The Sun he could see himself proposing to Jess in the future if things work out between them.
There was also an awkward moment when Phil and co-host Holly Willoughby forced Dom to watch Jess' date with Mike - for the SECOND time in 24 hours.
After watching it again, Holly said: "It must have been difficult for you to see that with everything else that's been going on."
He replied: "Yeah it brought it all back up, what I'd been dealing with the past few weeks.
"Jess was trying to reassure me but obviously I was a bit annoyed. I'd never seen the date, I've not been able to watch anything back."
Since Dom left the villa last week, the pair have been on several dates and been staying in a London hotel together.
The couple have been trying to move forward after The Sun Online exclusively revealed that Jess and Mike had a night of passion at a hotel after they were given the boot from the show.
Jess denied she had sex with Mike insisting they just put face masks on and sat on the hotel room bed talking about life in the villa.
Dom said they're "official" now and they plan to jet off on a luxury holiday for some alone time "as soon as we get a minute".
They might not be getting married but they also revealed that they're already planning on buying a house together.
