Muggy Mike Thalassitis plots his revenge on Chris Hughes as he and Sam Gowland return to Love Island

MIKE Thalassitis hinted he's looking for revenge on Chris Hughes as he sensationally returned to the villa along with fellow old boy Sam Gowland.

Stunned contestants sat around the fire pit as Kem Cetinay received a text informing them the lads were returning - and the news did not go down well with Chris, who had previous with Mike when they battled it out for Olivia's affections.

In a teaser for tomorrow night's show, Mike could be seen telling Sam that if Liv 'sticks it on him' he's up for getting 'revenge'.

His return comes just after Olivia and Chris called it quits, and he looked worried as he described the situation as "f***ing weird".

Olivia seemed excited by the new arrival and claimed Mike was looking more handsome than ever, however, new girl Georgia Harrison wasted no time in putting herself forward for Mike, which didn't appear to go down well with Tyla Carr.

Mike and Sam went head to head with two new boys, Jack from Peterborough and Scott from Burnley, with viewers deciding which two men would join – or rejoin – the show.

Mike seemed to be pretty confident he will be chosen by the show’s fans, as he took to Twitter last night to seemingly tease his return.

He wrote: “I’m sorry I won’t be able to party with you 2night @ninetydegrees will be there soon for the ultimate party when I get back from #loveisland”.

The bar in question is located in Southampton, and it tweeted: “@MikeThalassitis has been called in to finish the job. Will be back soon to party with us in a much bigger scale. Be ready!!!!!”

Another venue was also let down by Mike’s return, as he was set to attend a PA at Five Bar in Huddersfield tonight.

Taking to its Twitter page, the bar shared a doctored image of a bottle of vodka with #muggy in the caption.

Love Island fans were quick to comment on Mike's post, with one writing: "So I guess we can take this as confirmation #finally #cantwaittoseetheirfaces", while another posted: "I reckon it's all fixed. Mike and Same were always gonna go back in. It's TV gold".

A third wrote: "This definitely means we'll see you tomorrow! Go on muggy mike!!"

Others said they were "buzzing" over his return, after he was embroiled in the biggest love triangle of the series so far as he battled Chris Hughes for Olivia Attwood's affections during his first stint on the show.

Sadly for Mike he was booted off the island by the other contestants and then found himself in the headlines for getting close to fellow eliminated islander, Jessica Shears.
