A PROUD DAD'S SADNESS

Jeff Brazier posts bittersweet photo of eldest son Bobby as he wishes Jade Goody could be here to see her sons grow up

JEFF Brazier has posted a sweet photo of his eldest son Bobby looking blissfully happy on a boat - and wrote how he wished Jade Goody was around to see how her sons had grown up.

In the photo, posted onto both Twitter and Instagram, Jeff shared the sweet snap of his fourteen-year-old son gazing out into the ocean with a beaming smile on his face.

On Instagram, the TV presenter then wrote a bittersweet caption alongside it, remembering Jade and how proud she would be of her two boys.

It read: "Look at this boy today. I can't experience immense pride and satisfaction without equally feeling that Its insanely unfair that Mum isn't here to feel what I'm feeling too.

"Think of all that love he doesn't get that she would have given. I know there's a lot of people that feel the same for people that should still be here right?"

Jeff and Jade had two children together during their relationship - Bobby, 14, and Freddie, 13.

The former Big Brother star died from cervical cancer in 2009 aged just 27, and Jeff has raised their two sons on his own ever since.

He has now released a book about how he has coped with life after Jade's passing called The Grief Survival Guide, in a bid to help others also dealing with the loss of a loved one.

The star has made an effort to make sure that the two boys never forget their mum - and admitted to Woman's Own that they "miss her most when things aren't going well."

He told the mag: “That’s the gut-wrenching thing about bereavement. It’s just an indisputable fact that their lives would be so much better if Jade was here.

“We have Mum’s Day once a month, where we do a big activity and dedicate it to Jade. It’s my job to keep their account of memories of their mum topped up.

“Not all the stories about Jade are suitable – some magazines are in a drawer that will be available to them as adults if they should wish to view them.”
