Love Island bosses already planning autumn 2017 reunion with this year’s couples

Love Island fever has taken over Britain - so why not get involved and bag yourself a slogan tee?

LOVE Island bosses are already planning an autumn spin-off with this year’s couples - so fans can have a post summer catch-up with their favourite islanders.

Producers of the hit show are already in talks with ITV Studios about a follow-up show to reveal which relationships have made the distance.

Fans will be given an insight into whether the likes of Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies, Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood and Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt are still going strong back at home in the UK.

A source said: "Some relationships will be nothing more than a summer holiday romance but there's some that are going to last a lot longer.

“Each of the couples have already been pushed to the limits in a very false environment and once they're back home, they will have more time to themselves away from the camera.

"There are already discussions behind the scenes as to doing a follow-up series later this year where viewers can see if islanders have stayed together at home – and whether they’re following in the footsteps of last year’s couples like Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen.

“It's a no brainer for Love Island bosses to do a follow-up as the show has been a runaway success and everyone's desperate to see more of their favourite couples.”

The autumn show in discussion will be separate to one-off show Love Island Heading Home – which will also return for a one off special episode at the end of the series.

It will see the couples pack up from the island and go back home to their families.

Meanwhile, Love Island contestant Sam Gowland has revealed that all of this year’s islanders will be reuniting on August 2 for Marcel Somerville’s birthday.

In an exclusive interview, he said: “We've already made a plan to all go out on Marcel's birthday which is August 2.

“We're all going to the pub during the day and having a bit of a pub crawl and then having a night out in Newcastle.

“Every single person that was ever on Love Island is invited. I have no enemies from the show whatsoever.”
