Love Island star Marcel Somerville’s Blazin’ Squad mates say he’s a bit of a ‘player’ and has his way with the ladies – as they back Gabby Allen to be ‘the one’
Pals Chris McKeckney and Oliver Georgiou say they were not surprised that Marcel had slept with 300 women
LOVE Island star Marcel Somerville’s best friends were not surprised by the number of people he had slept with – and they say the Blazin’ Squad singer is a bit of a “player”.
In a recent Mr and Mrs-style task the fans’ favourite revealed he slept with “200-300” women much to the surprise of his fellow islanders and girlfriend Gabby Allen.
But fellow band members Chris McKeckney aka Melo-D and Oliver Georgiou aka Freek were not at all shocked by his magic number.
They say the singer was a bit of a player before the villa and he has his way with the ladies.
And they reckon Scouser Gabby is genuine, despite masses of fans accusing her of being “fake”.
Speaking to the Sun's Bizarre column at the Destiny 2 launch event, Oliver said: “To be honest, he’s always been quite popular with the ladies and he’s been single for a long time, hence why he’s gone into the villa.
“He’s that little bit older than the other islanders so he’s had a bit more time to get his numbers up.
“He’s had relationships and stuff. How those relationships were I don’t know. But we never had major issues.
“It was all about him not finding the one.”
Fitness freak Gabby was accused of being “fake” after a recent lie detector test revealed she was not in love with Marcel.
She tried to make it up to him by pulling a stunt with her fellow islander girls by declaring her love for him.
But it is clear to see the public is turning against them with bookmaker Paddy Power revealing its punters have stopped backing them, with odds reduced to 10/1, having previously been odds-on to win.
MORE FROM THE VILLA
The Blazin' Squad lads reckon she is the real deal and would be welcomed with open arms by the ten-strong group and their girlfriends and wives.
Chris said: “I personally think she’s genuine but I wouldn’t judge her until I met her.
“I think the chemistry is really good. She seems like a nice girl, she’d fit in well to our group and the girlfriends would be good to her.
“I ain’t got no worries about Gabby.”
