The blossoming friendship between the boys has become a major talking point throughout the series.

Many fans have even called for them to be listed as a couple with the potential to walk away with the £50,000 prize.

Kem and Chris open up about their feelings for each other in tonight's show, and they even joke about giving each other Love Island bracelets to symbolise their special relationship.

Kem says: "It’s so weird we’ve only known each other six, seven weeks but we sit here and we’re inseparable...

"We should really get a bracelet as well.

"I feel like Amber would be fuming if I got another one with you. Shall we get matching anklets?”

Chris replied: “Yes we should."

The pair then step up the joke by admitting to girlfriends Amber and Olivia that the ladies have competition.

Kem says: “These things happen, we didn’t want to click but this is just fate.”

Chris adds: “Sometimes you can’t help the click, the click comes and finds you.”

“I think we’re going to be best friends for the rest of my life,” Kem adds, and Chris finishes: "“Forever and ever."

Olivia then says: “Imagine coming on Love Island and meeting a boy who felt about you the way they feel about each other.”

Amber replies: "That is the dream."

Love Island continues 9pm tonight on ITV2
