Dominic Lever and Jessica Shears snub the Love Island 2017 final after vowing to ‘never see Mike Thalassitis again’

Couple have decided to ignore Caroline Flack’s invite and have gone out for dinner

DOMINIC Lever and Jessica Shears snubbed the Love Island 2017 final after revealing they never wanted to see Mike Thalassitis ever again.

The pair skipped the invite to the live final, and a potentially awkward run in with the footballer, and decided to head out for a swanky dinner in Manchester instead.

Dom, whose partner has denied sleeping with Mike in a hotel room after their island eviction, admitted he'd had had a tense conversation with Mike, who he claimed was "enjoying" the attention that's come his way.

Dom chose to stick by Jess despite fellow islanders telling him about the "clashing" accounts of her 5am liaison with Mike, and now it seems he's turned against Mike for good.

He told : "The meeting between me and Mike wasn't good.

"I told him we'd never be friends.

"He is a smug person and he's getting what he wants out of the situation, which is to be in the public eye.

"He might stir it with the public, but he wouldn't stir it with me.

"He knew I was serious and he wouldn't p*** me about."
