Love Island’s Kem Cetinay is NOT joining Towie as he refuses to bring Welsh girlfriend Amber Davies on show
LOVE Island champ Kem Cetinay will not be joining the cast of Towie as he refuses to bring Welsh girlfriend Amber Davies on the show.
The Essex hairdresser, 21, who’s styled the likes of Pete Wicks, was tipped to make an appearance on the reality programme but confirms he’s only interested in working with Amber.
In an exclusive interview, he said: “No, me going on Towie has never been discussed.
“It was obvious for people to assume that because I'm from Essex and I know the guys on there.
“But for me like at the moment that's not the type of route I want to go down because I want to do things with Amber.
“I'm not going to bring a Welsh girl on The Only Way is Essex am I?”
Love Island 2016 winners Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey made several appearances on Towie – but Kem and Amber will not be following in their footsteps.
The couple have other ideas – with Amber, 20, from North Wales, keen to take her career as a dancer to the big stage.
Talking to Kem, she said: “We could go panto together.
“I’d be the princess and you could be Buttons.”
Kem added: “Imagine me in a musical – oh my God.”
The star might also become an unlikely pop star after showing off his rapping skills during tasks at the villa in Majorca.
Stormzy, who appeared on FaceTime on the ITV2 show to give advice to Kem, wants to work with him on a song.
Kem revealed: "Stormzy messaged me to ask me to come to the studio, and either we're going to do a remix of my Love Island rap or we're just going to make a completely new song together and make a video for it. He's proper up for it.
MORE FROM THE VILLA
"He said 100 per cent he wants to and I 100 per cent want to, so it looks like it's going to happen."
Kem only discovered his surprise talent for rapping while on the show.
He said: "I love grime music but people are always surprised. No one knew it was my favourite music.
"I've never really rapped before but I was getting bored in the villa so just started writing it.
"When I heard Marcel was in Blazin' Squad, I was like, 'Oh My God.'
"Then I realised I was quite good at it when I started writing."
