Big Brother’s Tom Barber reveals he secretly left the house for emergency brain scan as he finishes fourth in the final
The Welshman's health concerns didn't air on the Channel 5 show
BIG Brother's Tom Barber had to make a secret hospital visit for an emergency brain scan during his time in the house.
The Welshman made the revelation after finishing fourth during tonight's final.
During his chat with host Emma Willis, the 21-year-old discussed his bromance with fellow housemate Kieran Lee.
He said: "I love him to bits, he helped me through a lot.
"I got ill, I had to go out and have a brain scan and stuff, ear infection, tonsillitis, I was like 'I can't go any longer' and he was like 'You've got a couple of days left so keep going' so massively, I love him."
Viewers were shocked by the news, with one writing on Twitter: "We didn't know tom was in hospital getting brain scans and everything, they hid that good on the edit."
Another added: "Tom exposing outside contact that we never herd about #BBUK".
A third cheekily wrote: "Just wondering if they found a brain when Tom had his scan."
The Welshman originally entered the house as 'The People's Housemate' in a launch night twist, but failed to be crowned the overall winner.
He wasn't too disappointed though, telling Emma: "I didn't even think I was going in, the next thing I'm sat in the final thinking 'what is going on'.
"Life is a rollercoaster and you've just got to roll with it, just like the Big Brother house."
Tom's departure was followed by Deborah Agboola, who secured third place.
Raph Korine was then announced as the runner up, with Isabelle Warburton triumphing to win the show.
When contacted about the hospital visit, a Big Brother spokesperson told The Sun Online: "Big Brother does not discuss medical issues involving housemates."
