Sarah Harding enters Celebrity Big Brother and throws shade at Cheryl and her Girls Aloud ex-bandmates

SARAH Harding has started Celebrity Big Brother off as she means to go on – by throwing shade at her ex Girls Aloud bandmates.

The former pop star appeared to hit out at the band – which also featured Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts – when she spoke about not liking confrontations in the house.

“I’ve been in a girl band and I don’t like it,” she said to host Emma Willis before heading back into the house.

The troubled star has entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in a last-ditch bid to save her tanking career.

And the Girls Aloud singer’s housemates will be relieved that they won’t have to worry about her drinking all the free booze.

In her only interview before taking part in the Channel 5 reality show, the retired party girl dubbed Hardcore Harding revealed she is a changed person, having put her chaotic past behind her.

Sarah said: “I played up to a caricature when I was in the band, always pouting in photos and being the entertainer.

“But I’m also emotional and sensitive, not as thick-skinned as people think. I live in the country and I’m older and wiser.”

In 2011 Sarah had a stint in rehab to beat depression, alcoholism and an addiction to sleeping pills. While she still drinks, she sticks to “a glass of wine at lunch” rather than wild nights out.

She said: “I won’t be drinking much, I’d like to keep a level head, stay sane and avoid dramas.”

Her dreams of breaking out as a solo artist have never taken off but her career hit an all-time low last year.

Sarah was forced to pull out of Ghost The Musical due to painkiller abuse triggered by a painful knee injury sustained on Channel 4’s ski contest The Jump.

She said: “I don’t regret doing the show and I’m off medication now.”

Sarah keeps in touch with former bandmate NADINE COYLE but says CHERYL, NICOLA ROBERTS and KIMBERLEY WALSH keep to themselves.

She said: “I FaceTimed Nadine a couple of weeks ago, that was fun. It’s difficult to stay in touch with the others as we’re all quite busy.

“We have their numbers, we don’t have to prove it to everyone on social media. Those three have always been close.”

Sarah’s love life has been turbulent too. Her exes include CALUM BEST, DJ TOM CRANE, who she was engaged to, and Mark Foster.

But as long as she doesn’t face any love dramas in the house, things on that front are looking up — with Sarah revealing she has a secret boyfriend.

She said: “I’m spoken for so I won’t be flirting with anyone in the house.

“I’ll miss him and my three dogs the most. I would love to be a mum one day, that would be nice chapter to add to my life.”
