SARAH Harding has hinted at a feud with her Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl during an intimate chat with Jemma Lucy in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The blonde popstar brought up Cheryl's name when discussing how she always felt like a "giant" next to her petite bandmates, and admitted they didn't talk much anymore.
Sarah, 35, first mentioned Cheryl, 34, when talking about her height, saying: "I'm only 5'5'. When I wear heels I'm a lot taller and I always looked the tallest in the group.
"I looked like a giant next to Cheryl. She's like a Polly Pocket. She's very petite."
That prompted Jemma to ask if Sarah still speaks to Cheryl, to which Sarah said: "I haven't spoken to her in a while."
When Jemma asked if they'd fallen out, Sarah said: "Everyone asks that but we're so busy with our own stuff.
"It's not for me to say. Honestly, it's not for me to say. I don't like talking about the other girls if it's a personal thing.
"I mean, we were like sisters, so of course it would never be plain sailing the whole time."
Sarah added: "Being around girls all the time is difficult, you know?
"Nothing lasts forever. We went though so much, even if had fallen out, I'm sure it wouldn't be a major deal in the future."
There had been rumours of a rift with Cheryl after The Sun on Sunday revealed how Cheryl had unfollowed Sarah on Twitter last month.
Sarah then posted a cryptic Instagram post which read: "Remember, those who hurt you will eventually face their own karma.”
Sarah, however, insisted that her Instagram hadn't been aimed at Cheryl.
"I post a lot of quotes. If I post something like that, then I just want to get it off my chest," she told OK!
"It doesn’t mean it’s aimed at anyone in particular – and if it is, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s aimed at Cheryl."
Sarah referenced her Girls Aloud past while chatting with CBB host Emma Willis on launch night and appeared to hit out at the group when she spoke about not ejnjoying confrontation, explaining: "I’ve been in a girl band and I don’t like it.”
The singer had vowed not to talk about her bandmates on the show - branding them "sisters" at the end of the day.
Speaking in earlier this week, Sarah said: “I don’t know what she’d be worried about, but at the end of the day, if I went in there I wouldn’t talk about the band or any of my exploits.”
She continued: “I’d go in to show people who I am as a person. I’m a loyal friend and I’m not going to go in there and talk about what’s gone on.
“We were like sisters at the end of the day, so I wouldn’t go in there to talk about the band or their secrets.”
And Sarah initially stuck to her word, declining to talk about Cheryl during a psychic reading with Gemma Collins on a Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side sketch recorded before launch night.
Channelling the spirits, Towie star Gemma told Sarah: “There is a name coming through – Cheryl! Do you have a message for Cheryl?”
Struggling to hold back the laughter, Sarah simply said: “No.”
Gemma responded: “No message for Cheryl, spirits.”
She then told Sarah: “Spirits do get pretty mischievous at times. They do play up at times.”
So far, Nadine Coyle is the only Girls Aloud band member so far to wish Sarah luck in CBB, taking to Twitter on Wednesday morning to admit she's nervous for her old friend but also excited.
She tweeted: "SARAH IS IN BB. She is such a gentle sweet soul at heart!!! I am so nervous for her but hoping she has a wonderful time!!"
In contrast, Cheryl, who returned to work and the public eye just hours before Sarah entered CBB, and Nicola have not tweeted anything about CBB or Sarah.
Kimberley, meanwhile, didn't reference Sarah on Twitter either, but did favourite a tweet posted by James Jordan about the first CBB secret task.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun's Bizarre column before entering the house, Sarah said she was in touch with Nadine but didn't see as much of Cheryl, Nicola and Kimberley these days.
“I FaceTimed Nadine a couple of weeks ago, that was fun," she said.
"It’s difficult to stay in touch with the others as we’re all quite busy.
“We have their numbers, we don’t have to prove it to everyone on social media.
"Those three have always been close.”
