Danny Dyer and wife Joanne Mas put on united front for daughter Dani’s birthday amid marriage split rumours
DANNY Dyer and wife Joanne Mas got playful for the camera at their daughter Dani's birthday party, as rumours about their marriage continue to swirl.
The EastEnders actor and his long-time partner looked happy as they struck a silly pose at a glamorous 21st party for Dani over the weekend.
Wearing a white 'Pirate Radio' t-shirt and jeans, Danny, who plays 'Enders' Mick Carter, pulled a faux shocked expression with his hand in the air, while a laughing Joanne pointed a finger at him.
A party source told : "They looked so happy together. You wouldn’t think they weren’t a couple any more.
";Everyone’s hoping that they will get back together."
The pair joined forces to help actress daughter Dani ring in her landmark 21st birthday with a garden bash, complete with champagne, balloons, bunting, cocktails and a photobooth.
It seems like Danny and Joanne went all out for the glitzy affair as there were even giant lit up letters spelling out Dani's initials, 'DD', and a huge lit up '21' sign.
Dani later said: "Had the most amazing party. Thank you for everyone who came and made my birthday so special."
Danny, 40, and Joanne's marriage hit the headlines in July when The Sun exclusively revealed Danny had a six-week affair with Girls Aloud singer and current Celebrity Big Brother housemate Sarah Harding.
She believed Danny was single when they hooked up, only to then find he had a long-term partner.
It happened on the set of 2012 British film Run For Your Wife.
Danny and Joanne are childhood sweethearts who have been together on and off for 20 years.
They married in September.
As well as daughter Dani, they have two other children, aged eight and four.
In July, The Sun exclusively reported that Danny had moved out of the home he shared with wife Joanne and into a solo flat.
A friend said: “At first, we hoped Danny and Jo would patch things up again as they have so many times before.
“It’s not the first time Danny has stayed away rather than go home after filming.
“But it’s clear this time it is different.
"Jo has been through a lot with Danny over the years and she has always forgiven him for his mistakes. But she is at the end of her tether.
“He is obviously hoping that she changes her mind and that they can work things out.
“But things have never been this bad between them before.”
A pal added: "Danny and Jo have been together for a very long time and the common belief was that they would never go their separate ways.
"Whatever problems they’ve had, they’ve fought through them. But this has been an incredibly tough year for them both.
“Before he was forced to take his break from EastEnders this year he was in a pretty dark place. Jo tried her best to support him, but it wasn’t easy and there have been a lot of rows.
“Until recently, it was felt that they just needed some time apart to get their heads together.
“But it is clear that the problems between them are much more serious than that. Danny would never have moved out otherwise.”
As The Sun Online exclusively in February, Danny was handed time off from EastEnders due to concerns over his health and lifestyle.
He returned to screens in May after taking a break from the limelight.
Danny's current 'Enders deal runs out later this year - and last week he left viewers fearing he could QUIT the soap after admitting he wasn't sure about re-signing.
The Sun's Bizarre column exclusively revealed Danny told fans on the soap's set: "This takes up my life this does. I ain’t signed yet. I’m meant to sign in October but I might elbow it.”
A source close to Danny said: “He didn’t want to share his personal business and was making a flippant comment. He makes no secret that he loves the show and is hopeful of sorting a deal.”
The BBC said: “We never discuss artists’ contracts but we can confirm that Danny will be staying with EastEnders.”
