Who is Maddie Hooper? What is her background?
Maddie Hooper was recruited to The Only Way Is Essex along with her friend Ruby Lacey.
The pretty brunette is a lash technician who announced her first pregnancy just weeks after rumours first circulated that she was being dropped from the show.
The pals joined the line-up this summer in replacement of show favourites Kate Wright and Lydia Bright – but barely had any screen time.
They came in as close friends of Georgia Kousoulou, who films most her scenes with boyfriend Tommy Mallet.
Why was Maddie dropped from Towie?
The Sun revealed that both Ruby and Maddie had been dropped from the ITVbe show after just one series.
The girls were billed as the series’ “sexy new singletons” during the their debut in Marbella this summer , but they were keeping a big secret from producers – they had boyfriends.
A TV insider told The Sun: “Bosses had high hopes for Ruby and Maddie and thought they would bring some drama to the show.
“It was understood that they were both single when filming started but producers soon realised they that they had boyfriends.
“Ruby kissed Jordan one night – but she wouldn’t let the storyline come to screen because her romance."
