This Morning’s Rylan Clark-Neal tells Alison Hammond she has lipstick on her teeth live on air – avoiding the row Holly Willoughby had with Jodie Marsh
The presenter quickly told his co-star she had had a make-up fail a year on from Holly Willoughby and Jodie Marsh's war of words over the same problem
RYLAN Clark-Neal stuck to the 'girl code' on today's This Morning when he told Alison Hammond she had lipstick on her teeth live on air.
The presenter was co-hosting the main show with Sarah Greene today, with Alison joining them for the showbiz segment.
But after chatting about a couple of stories, Alison suddenly got lipstick on her teeth, and Rylan was quick to point it out.
He said: "Now wipe your teeth, girl code, your lipstick I tell you, you're having a mare today."
As he said it he rubbed his finger near his teeth and Alison did the same on hers, thanking him as she did so.
She said: "Oh you're so good though, thank you."
The move comes a year after regular This Morning host Holly Willoughby got into a war of words with Jodie Marsh over a very similar incident.
The former glamour model appeared on the show in June last year and had an embarrassing make-up fail when her teeth became stained with her dark purple lipstick while she was chatting about her desire to find a sperm donor.
But rather than be taken in with her big reveal viewers were instead obsessed with her massive make-up mistake.
"Poor Jodie marsh! Maybe Holly could've told her she had lipstick all over her teeth before the interview ended #jodiemarsh #thismorningitv," @AmyHasson fumed.
While @xGrslack commented: "@JodieMarsh I no you looked so beauts and I was thinking come on Holly tell her bless ya you still looked lovely babe x."
But Jodie initially appeared to take the mishap in good humour, tweeting after the show: "Aw no one told me about lipstick on teeth. Never mind. It's only a fun chat show! Hope you all enjoyed X X X"
But a month later, Jodie appeared to make a dig at the 36-year-old presenter by sharing an Instagram post which read: "There is a special place in hell for a woman who does not tell another woman when she has lipstick on her teeth.”
She wrote next to the pic: “Someone sent this to me on Twitter. Fitting.”
However Holly defended herself, sharing a video on Instagram which showed her warning Jodie about her lipstick covered teeth, which she captioned: "Awkward".
In the short clip Holly could be seen rubbing her teeth to indicate that Jodie had a stain as she sat opposite her and Phillip Schofield.
But Jodie then hit back, insisting the footage was taken after their live chat, writing: "That's all well and good but telling me AFTER the interview was completely finished @hollywills didn't help in any way really did it".
