Olivia Newton-John says she’s ‘feeling great’ three months after being diagnosed with breast cancer
Grease star, 68, previously battled cancer in 1992 and is hoping to raise money for millions for charity
OLIVIA Newton-John has thanked fans for their support as she battles cancer for a second time.
The actress updated her loyal followers and revealed she's "feeling great."
Olivia, 68, shared the good news while announcing a new charity campaign that she's hoping will raise millions for cancer patients.
She said: “Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude to all of you who sent such kind and loving messages of support over the past few months.
"Your prayers and well wishes have truly helped me and continue to lift my spirits.
"I’m feeling great and so look forward to seeing you soon.”
The much-loved entertainer then told fans about a campaign hoping to raise money for cancer patients.
Olivia explained: “During this healing time, recovering from my breast cancer relapse, I’ve had time to reflect on how proud I am of the centre and the important contribution it makes to the lives of the communities it serves.
“The wellness centre programmes are improving the lives of people going through cancer. This was my dream and it’s now a reality.”
Now 68-year-old Olivia has confirmed they will be reprising their roles as Danny and Sandy.
Earlier this year, she told The Mirror: “We are thinking up ways.
“[We have] nothing to announce yet. Forty years anniversary of Grease, which I can't believe…
“Time goes so fast. It's so exciting.”
John, 63, has yet to comment but he’s made no complaints about Olivia’s dream of getting them all back together.
It’s not the first time she’s admitted a reunion was in the pipeline, telling Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield during a recent This Morning appearance: “I can't believe it's that long.
“I would like to do something special to help the hospital I work with, but I don't know if we could get the rest of the cast together.”
Since battling cancer in 1992, Olivia has dedicated much of her life to raising money for Breast Cancer Research.
She’s since raised millions for charity after donating proceeds from her album sales.
Olivia told : “I am grateful for the experience because without it I would not have done many of the things I have done in my life.
“It’s taught me compassion for those going through difficult times.”
