OLD DOGS, NEW TRICKS

Men Behaving Badly’s Neil Morrissey and Martin Clunes reunited for first time in three years to judge dog look-a-like competition

Old pals were having the time of their lives while judging the 'Dog most like Neil Morrissey'

NEIL Morrissey and Martin Clunes have been pictured together again for the first time in three years while judging a dog competition.

The Men Behaving Badly stars – who were last seen together in 2014 for a Stand Up To Cancer skit – looked as though they were having the time of their lives despite the pouring rain.

It’s not surprising they enjoyed themselves, as the competition sought to find the “dog most like Neil Morrissey”.

There were plenty of canines on display and it’s likely the judging may have been tough, with some many look-a-like breeds in the ring.

Grinning as they looked at the different hounds, Neil even got his phone out to take some snaps of his favourites.

Men Behaving Badly, which ran from 1992 to 1998, is now one of the most loved shows in TV history – with Neil and Martin, both now 55, becoming household names because of it.

Although they reunited briefly on screen in 2014, as Gary Strang and Tony Smart, they’ve never confirmed whether they would reprise the series.

While Cold Feet came back last year to a hugely warm reception, Neil has previously admitted he’d be worried about a comeback.

He told The Radio Times: “It can’t ever be what it was – we’re talking nearly 20 years ago.

“But if they came up with a good script and a good idea perhaps, because we’re old blokes now and we couldn’t be making the same mistakes.

“Martin is in pretty much the same boat as me.

“We’d have to lobby [creator/writer] Simon Nye and [producer] Beryl Vertue and say, ‘The public require it!’”

Caroline Quentin, who starred on the show alongside Neil, Martin and Leslie Ash, would love to see the series return.

“So it can work! You can return with those old shows.”
