Props and costumes from some of the greatest films ever made are going on sale at the BFI Imax cinema in central London next month
LIGHTS, camera. . . auction! Movie fans have the chance to buy props and costumes from some of the greatest films ever made – if they have a blockbuster budget.
Collectables company Prop Store will be putting iconic items under the hammer at the BFI IMax cinema in central London next month - and includes an 18in model spaceship from Return Of The Jedi which is set to fetch at least £200,000.
Here, we reveal the guide prices for some slightly less expensive lots and the films they feature in ahead of the sale.
C-3PO's head: £60,000 - 80,000
COULD this be a phantom purchase?
Star Wars actor Anthony Daniels never wore the plastic prop as it shrank. It was used only for special effects.
Alien costume: £30,000
MOVIE director James Cameron re-made the body-bursting creatures for sequel Aliens – and some sci-fi aficionados will bust a gut to get this costume.
Back To The Future boots: £35,000
MARTY McFLY put on these self-lacing Nikes when he arrived in the year 2015.
For a fan of 1989’s Back To The Future Part II, owning them is a unique way to step back in time.
Elf costume: £8,000 - £10,000
CHRISTMAS has come early for comedy buffs.
The outfit Will Ferrell wore as Santa’s not-so-little helper in Elf is up for sale. And like his character Buddy in the seasonal classic, the price tag is rather large.

Superman outfit: £8,000
IS it a bird? Is it a plane? No – it’s, er, a blue tunic.
Even with the red cape missing, the outfit will sell faster than a speeding bullet as it was worn by Christopher Reeve in 1987 superhero flick Superman IV: The Quest for Peace – his last outing as the hero.
The Joker's suit: £30,000
THE colourful costume that Jack Nicholson wore as The Joker in 1989’s Batman could give you a chuckle.
But the estimated price for his size 10½ Oxford shoes, suede gloves, satin shirt and waistcoat is no laughing matter.
James Bond cap: £7,000
ROGER MOORE’S Royal Navy headwear from 1977’s The Spy Who Loved Me still looks shipshape.
Following the star’s death in May, few eyebrows will be raised if there are loads of bids for 007’s Savile Row cap
