RICHARD Madeley was left embarrassed after he made a saucy slip of the tongue on Good Morning Britain today.
The seasoned presenter left viewers in hysterics when he said the phrase "slap and tickle" during a debate about whether young girls should be allowed to wear make-up.
The stand-in host had been explaining why he believes it is okay for a child to be allowed to wear make-up as he said: "If a girl wants to experiment with the old slap and tickle, she should be allowed to put it on."
"It’s fun and it makes them feel like a grown up and there’s nothing wrong with that."
As the chat continued, he then realised what he had said and quipped: "Oh, 'slap' I should have said. Ignore the tickle."
Slap and tickle is slang for sexual activity, especially when it involves playing or joking.
Viewers were quick to notice Richard's mistake and flocked to Twitter to point out the error.
