Towie’s Lydia Bright rages over airport drama in Italy as she worries she’ll be left ‘stranded’

LYDIA Bright has lashed out at "disgusting" Ryanair for "horrendous" service after claiming her flight home from Italy had been overbooked.

The Towie star and ex of James 'Arg' Argent said she may need to cancel work and will miss an early flight out of the UK on Friday because of the cock-up - which has also affected her family who she is travelling with.

The furious star took to Twitter to explain how drama surrounding her flight from Italy to London had "ruined" her month-long holiday.

She wrote: "This is the second time this has happened to me. Completely ruined my trip @Ryanair & future plans."

After saying she'd have to cancel work and would miss another flight, the 27-year-old added: "Something more needs to be done to ensure I'm home today."

While trying to get in touch with Ryanair, she learned that her next possible flight would take off a whopping 24 hours later.

She then labelled the customer service "absolutely awful" while worried fans sent her help line numbers to get her through to Ryanair's top brass.

However, a spokesperson for Ryanair told The Sun Online in a statement: "This customer’s claims are untrue.

"We don’t overbook flights, and this customer was not 'stranded' as she boarded the aircraft and flew to London with 7 vacant seats.

"We apologise for any misunderstanding. Our 131m customers agree, TOWIRyanair!"

Lydia had been keeping her fans updated with sun-soaked snaps from her Italian holiday, which she shared with her parents, plus sisters Romana and Georgia.

Lydia's rant got her lots of support from her followers on Twitter, including her showbiz pal Louis Spence, who tweeted: "@Ryanair come on sort this out for@LydiaRoseBright leaving a young woman stranded isn't ok...

."

One of Lydia's more ardent fans also commented: "Let's use the power of 1.1 million followers on Twitter, everyone tweet and get our Lydia on that plane."

He then tweeted at the aeroplane company: "Hey @Ryanair you're refusing to board @LydiaRoseBright do u realise she has 1.1 million followers on Twitter alone, get her on that plane!

."

Ryanair got back to Lydia on Twitter but advised the star it would be best to talk to someone in person at the Italian airport.

But the blonde beauty then complained "nobody is speaking to me at the airport" and said catching a flight 24 hours after she had planned "won't do" as a solution.

Lydia is no stranger to having stressful private dramas playing out in the public eye.

Earlier this year she had to confront the fact that her ex-boyfriend Arg had slept with her and her friend Gemma Collins on the same day.

After dumping Arg in May 2016, Lydia had an apparently pleasant reunion at V Festival this summer - and even said she was "proud" of his progress after rehab.
