Love Island’s Scott Thomas joins Coronation Street star brother Ryan Thomas and Towie’s Lucy Mecklenburgh for night out amid Kady McDermott split rumours
CORONATION Street’s Ryan Thomas and Towie’s Lucy Mecklenburgh were joined by his brother and Love Island star Scott for a night out in Manchester.
It comes amid rumours Scott, 28, and girlfriend Kady McDermott, 21, have broken up, just over a year since they met on the ITV2 show.
They were spotted at restaurant in Chester after viewers of Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls saw Ryan, 33, and Lucy, 26, kiss for the first time in the show they hooked up on.
The couple, who have been dating since the show, and shared meze with other friends and posed for a snap – in an exclusive picture the Sun’s Bizarre column can reveal.
They also tweeted and uploaded snaps and videos to their Instagram accounts to their cohort of loyal fans about their experiences on the new survival show.
Lucy wore skinny cropped jeans and a striped t-shirt embellished with pearls.
She was praised by followers for her bravery in the shows’ extreme situations with model Jodie Kidd tweeting: “Well done darling so proud of you.”
And the date comes after the Channel 4 show was slammed for the amount of swearing on the opening episode of the latest series.
Fans complained as a huge 66 four letter words were used throughout the 45 minutes of footage – including 52 “F-words”.
It means a curse word was used once every 40 seconds.
Ryan was the worst offender, turning the air blue 18 times.
Viewer Viki Cowley said: “Do they have to swear so much?”
Will Nesbit blasted: “I like a swear word as much as the next bloke but there is no need for the language.”
And Richard Whitbread joked: “Let’s see how many times we can say the F word in one minute.”
Former Corrie star Ryan later apologised for his language to his Twitter followers.
He said: “I know I hate it so sorry didn’t even realise.”
And three fans complained to Ofcom over the language used.
An Ofcom spokesman said: “We will assess these complaints before deciding whether or not to investigate.”
A Channel 4 spokeswoman said: “The series is appropriately scheduled after the watershed, was preceded by a strong language flagging, and reflects the experiences of those on The Island.”
