Who are Jack and Joel?
Jack Remington and Joel Fishel, both 22, form the talented singing duo Jack and Joel appearing on this year's series of The X Factor.
The brainy pair are both graduates of Oxford University, with Jack studying Geography while coding and web development wiz Joel read Mathematics.
During their time at the prestigious uni, they starred as part of the celebrated all-male a cappella group Out of the Blue.
The singing troupe have achieved recognition across the world with Edinburgh Fringe appearances, world tours and viral videos.
As Jack and Joel, the pair perform acoustic pop music on their popular YouTube channel, which has thousands of subscribers, beatboxing and harmonising their way through reworked hits.
The dulcet London-based duo even embarked on a four-month tour of South America in 2016.
This summer, Jack and Joel headlined a show at the O2 in Islington, London and performed on a bill with the likes of Olly Murs, Madness and Toploader at Alex James' foodie bash The Big Feastival.
At the start of this year, a mash-up they performed of UK no.1 singles from 2016 amassed over 2.5 million views on Facebook.
When is The X Factor 2017 on ITV and who are the judges?
After launching on September 2, X Factor 2017 will continue at 8pm every Saturday and Sunday on ITV.
The show begins, as always, with auditions as the nationwide hunt to find this year's winning act begins.
Despite heavy speculation of a judging shake up, the panel will be remaining exactly the same as last year.
This means Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne will hold the hopefuls' fates in their hands.
Alisha Dixon is also appearing for certain audition shows, having stepped in as a guest judge when Sharon and Nicole were unable to attend.
It's the first time in seven years that X Factor bosses have kept the same judging panel as the year before.
A source said: “The chemistry was perfect last year, so it’s only natural to want to bring the same line-up together again."
Dermot O'Leary will be returning to hosting duties after making his big comeback to the show last year.
