The cheeky tradesmen - who performed a 1960s hit on the ITV music competition tonight - received a groundswell of support on social media for his singing ability and good looks.
"I think I might fancy Sam Black on the X Factor," wrote one fan.
"Sam Black be my husband?" asked a second.
A third added: "I don't care if Sam Black is taken and has a mid he's still so hot."
Sadly for them he’ll soon break viewers hearts later this series as he takes himself off the market – and proposes to girlfriend Emma live on stage.
The Liverpudlian, 20, impresses all four judges tonight with his version of Runaround Sue, and even gets complimented by Simon Cowell who says he did the song justice.
Sam tells the judges that he’s at the auditions in Liverpool with girlfriend Emma, and recounts how their relationship went very fast after she fell pregnant unexpectedly.
Telling the story, Sam recounts how he and Emma were travelling in Thailand when she found out she was pregnant – and now they’re back in the UK and he’s back working as a plasterer.
The pair welcomed their son Mason in 2016 and Sam admitted his arrival meant he had to grow up fast.
However, he didn't give up on his dream and neither did Emma, as it was she, in fact, who signed him up for the show – his first time singing in front of an audience.
"I think she thinks I'm a better singer than I am," he told the cameras before his audition.
And, The Sun Online can reveal, Sam is so grateful to his girlfriend that he actually proposes marriage to her live on stage later in the show.
“Sam pulled Emma up on stage, dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him,” an onlooker told us.
