Mark Wright quits Britain for amazing new life in Los Angeles as a US TV host
The former Towie star was given a proper send-off at the airport by his family - and his mum Carol looked heartbroken
MARK Wright has quit Britain to start an amazing new life in America as a US TV host.
The former Towie star has left the country and moved to Los Angeles to launch his presenting career.
Mark's family gathered at the airport to give him a proper send-off as he prepared to jet off to the States.
He was joined by sister Jessica and mum Carol, who look heartbroken as she posed for a final family snap with Mark before he got on the plane.
But his actress wife Michelle Keegan was missing from the group shot as she is away working on the new series of hit drama Our Girl.
Mark's new job is a role on Extra TV in America as a full-time correspondent role on the popular entertainment show.
He will be working with a team that includes former Saved By The Bell star Mario Lopez.
But Mark has to give up his DJ-ing job and he said goodbye to fans at his final residency show in Mallorca.
A video shows him singing along to the crowd as he said his final farewell.
The Sun previously reported that Mark will spend a year in LA working on the entertainment news show, which airs every night in the US.
It is filmed at Universal Studios in Calfornia as well as various locations in New York.

Mark said: "I feel so honoured to be given a job on such a massive show in America, interviewing the biggest stars in the world, and working alongside Mario Lopez who I watched and loved growing up.
"Lisa G, the boss at EXTRA, didn't know me before meeting her. I asked for a meeting, and she believed in me from seeing my showreel.
"She gave me a chance by allowing me to interview Mariah Carey and from that she has now given me this amazing opportunity to work on the show full time. It's all a bit surreal.
"The UK will always be my home, but right now America is the path that has opened up for me, and I have to follow that."
Former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark has already delved into presenting industry with roles on Take Me Out: The Gossip on ITV2 as well as Heart FM.
Mark has previously spent a lot of time in California with his actress wife Michelle Keegan, who is currently abroad filming the news series of Our Girl.
