Megan McKenna admits worries for relationship with Pete Wicks as she spends a month away from him chasing her country music dream
MEGAN McKenna admitted worries over her relationship with Pete Wicks during the first episode of her new show, There's Something About Megan.
The ITVBe show aired tonight and follows the Towie star as she pursues her dream of becoming a country singer in Nashville, Tennessee.
Her trip to America occurred over the summer and took Megan away from her Essex home for a month, just as she had reunited with on-off boyfriend and Towie co-star Pete.
In one scene, the couple FaceTimed each other, with Megan telling her boyfriend how her first performance had gone the previous evening.
Having had such a rollercoaster relationship over the last year, Megan explained to the camera what was going on, and how her trip away possibly hadn't come at the best time.
She said: "Everybody's thinking 'Oh God they're back on' but like I can't help it.
"The time apart... we've found our way back together.
"Now we're both back in each other's lives a month away from each other is... big."
However Pete made it clear how much he supported his girlfriend chasing her dream during the chat, asking about her performance and what Nashville was like.
Megan replied: "The key thing in Nashville is to get the audience to take to you, especially coz I'm not from here and everyone seemed to like me."
Pete cheekily replied: "They ain't too friendly though I hope, they know you've got a boyfriend though yeah?"
Giggling, Megan answered: "Yes!" before the pair told each other they loved and missed one another.
Later in the episode, Megan went to a song writing session with Beth Nielsen Chapman, who has written big hits for the likes of Faith Hill and country music superstar Willie Nelson.
Sitting down to chat, Beth asked Megan about her reputation on Towie and her on-off romance with Pete.

"I'd say I'm quite an emotional person, when I was younger I used to have a little meltdown but I was never like how my meltdown's have been on the TV.

Beth admitted she had read a few stories about Megan's love life, saying: "I know the bare bones, I know there was some guy you were with and there was like a whole thing and you broke up."
