Loose Women’s Linda Robson reveals she’s lost over two stone in six months after ditching sweet treats

LINDA Robson showed off her slimmed down figure at last night's TV Choice Awards after losing more than two stone.

The Loose Women star joined her fellow panellists at the event at The Dorchester Hotel in London and revealed the full extent of her sugar-free diet in a black shift dress.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, Linda, 59, said: "I've been doing it six months now and I've lost over two stone.

"It's much easier now, my husband made me a risotto the other day and he put a whole glass of white wine in it and I couldn't eat it, it tasted too much of the wine."

While the rest of the Loose Women, including Penny Lancaster, Saira Khan and Andrea McLean enjoyed a glass of champagne on the red carpet, Linda refrained from joining them.

Penny, 46, joked: "We're drinking for her."

Saira added: "She's done well hasn't she? We're all really proud of her.

"It takes a lot of will power on a night like this to not touch any alcohol but she's doing it."

Showing serious restraint, Linda said: "We actually went to the bar here before we came in here as well."

Linda's new approach to food and drink is in stark contrast to her old habits, after she previously admitted she would drink almost a bottle of wine a night.

Doctors told the star her lifestyle was making her susceptible to diabetes, and for the sake of her two-granddaughters, Linda decided to go tee-total.

Speaking on Loose Women in January, Linda said: "I have a wine belly.

"If I don't lose weight, then I might be prone to get Diabetes.

"It worried me - I thought it would be quite a good time."

She added: "It's going to be hard. I have a couple of glasses of wine every night."

She confessed to her co-stars she had six bottles of wine delivered a week, and was always ready for the next batch.

But nine months later, Linda has proved she has the will power and looks better than ever.
